Eclipse Season and Transformation
Hi all,
Remember to check out the full Lunar Eclipse in the wee hours of the morning tonight!
The lunar eclipse totality from 2:26-3:31 am, Friday March 14th - for those of you on the East Coast of the United States. Hopefully, the clouds will be spotty enough to see the dark, reddish Full Moon. To read more about the lunar eclipse, here's a little news blurb from WBUR.
Fun fact: About every 6 months, the Earth experiences "Eclipse Season" - when a lunar and solar eclipse occur within a couples weeks of each other.
A lunar eclipse happens when the Earth comes directly between the Sun and the Moon, causing the Earth's shadow to block sunlight from reaching the Moon. This only occurs during a full moon, when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned in a straight line (or very close to it).
Throughout history, across many different cultures, eclipse seasons have been seen as times of transformation, unpredictability, and heightened emotions.
Which leads me to my questions for you...
